A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer, silica-based, that cures into a hard, thin, transparent layer bonded to the clear coat. It is not a wax that sits on top and washes away. What a coating actually does

- Gloss and depth that hold. A wax looks superb for three weeks. A coating holds most of that appearance across seasons.

What a coating does not do

- It does not stop stone chips. Nothing liquid does. That is a job for paint protection film on the leading edges, which is a different product and a different trade.

- It does not fix bad paint. Apply it over swirls and you have preserved the swirls under a durable clear layer. That is the whole reason correction comes first.
- It does not mean you stop washing the car. Coated cars still need washing; they just wash much more easily.

- Initial cure indoors, out of dew, rain and road spray
